Samsung declared recently that the Gingerbread upgrade is likely to additionally extend to its Galaxy Ace, Gio, Fit, and mini phones.
The manufacturer may start off with an upgrade to the Galaxy S in the U.K. and Nordic regions initiating immediately in the middle of this month. The upgrade will then distribute throughout the world, stretching other European countries, North America, Southeast Asia, the Middle East, Africa, along with the various regions.
Customers may be able to upgrade their android devices via Kies, Samsung's system management and synchronization software.
As a result of the upgrade from Android 2.2 Froyo to Gingbread, Samsung is ensuring improved performance,a much better designed UI, and more efficient 3D graphics. Gingerbread will also features a vast array of additional enhancements and fresh functionality over its predecessor, such as a newly designed virtual keyboard, improved power management, a different download manager, and compliant for near field communication.
Checking particularly at the Galaxy Tab tablet, the Gingerbread upgrade is applicable only to the 7-inch edition. Scheduled to be released in early June, Samsung's new 10.1-inch Tab will arrive with Android 3.0 Honeycomb ready
