Android Smartphone "Samsung Sidekick 4G" Confirmed by T-Mobile

Another next generation Android powered phone is confirmed by T-Mobile its called the Sidekick 4G, T-Mobile and Samsung have been very vocal about their planed in launching a new Sidekick phone. As a matter of fact The Sidekick 4G has spotted in some scene and its pre-launch web page has been live on T-Mobile’s web site since mid-February. Recently the Danger servers that power the cloud services after the original Sidekick will be shut down effectively May 31, 2011. The discontinuation gives way for the launch of the next generation on their well known line of handsets.

The Sidekick 4G will completely change the Sidekick brand from a regular phone feature to a true blooded android smartphone. The handset run in 2.2 Froyo and it include the following specs:

-3.5-inch display (touchscreen)
-1GHz  processor Cortex A8 Hummingbird
-Five-row QWERTY keyboard with pop-tilt hinge
-4G connectivity up to 21 Mbps
-Front VGA camera with T-Mobile Video Chat powered by Qik
-Pre-loaded Facebook and Twitter
-Sidekick Group Text and Cloud Text for cross-platform group messaging
-DriveSmart distracted driving service
-Media software includes YouTube, T-Mobile TV and Slacker Radio as well the ability to rent as movies and -TV shows from the Samsung Media Hub via carrier billing
-Colors include matte black or pearl magenta
    With its attractive looks and nice design plus centered on social networking, messaging, and media. Its shows tha Sidekicks still targeting the younger generation of users. The Sidekick 4G is expected to hit the shelves later this spring, exclusively on T-Mobile.
