Android Apps to Make Payments With Your Android Smartphone via NFC (near-field communication )

Newer Android device which is released recently are equip with NFC technology (near-field communication ) which allow the users to pay for stuff by just simply holding their phone up to a retail checkstand. This will brought convenience for most users and some of these payment apps are intended  directly for person-to-person transactions, but a few will let users make purchases at the retail counter.

We gathered some interesting mobile apps that will let your android device to pay for your stuff or even receive payments for it.

Banking Transaction Apps

Trusted banks like Bank of America, Citibank, and Wells Fargo is now joining the Android Market in able to promote their services within the reach of mobile customers. Basically users use these apps for little more than checking balances on the run, but liitle they didnt know is majority of banking apps have added banking power to let you pay and get paid by anyone who use to have a same bank account.

The main concern over these apps is transferring money between customers requires the payee to share account numbers with the payer. So this is important that both of you must know each other very well, otherwise this is not an ideal way to handle your transactions.

More over if the if the payee is a company or individual with whom you do business regularly, all you have to do is log on to your account using your PC and include the recipient to a list of approved payees. In this way you can easily send payment in anytime you need to by just login in to your android phone you can choose wether instant electronic payment or via check. The good side is, this method lets you pay people regardless of whether they're customers at your bank.

Among  all major banks in the app stores, it seems that ING Direct has the edge when it comes to direct payments. It has an option for person-to-person payment, you have to register first the person through ING Direct's browser interface to avoid unauthorized people from adding themselves when a phone is lost or stolen and will drain your account balance, but after done in registry you can now easily send payments.

Via PayPal

This is one of the popular established name in online payments, PayPal services caters the most-advanced options for person-to-person smartphone payments. Two users with having a PayPal accounts can start sending personal payments between them with no charge on transaction, as long as the payments are done from a  check linking account.
PayPal for Android device allows the users to cash checks by taking a picture of them with the phone's camera, they also includes an option to split a dinner bill easily and exchange contact information.

Venmo

Another alternative to PayPal is app calle Venmo its services includes PayPal-esque features for paying friends, splitting restaurant checks, paying your utilities,Although Venmo is currently in limited release, so you need to sign up on the app's waiting list for you to able to tyr it.

The good thing with Venmo is you can link your Twitter and Facebook accounts to let everyone on your friends list know the identity of the lucky recipient of your contribution. But somehow its not clear why this is a good idea as it might consider a sharable information.
